Exhibit A-1 - Amendment 1 Scope of Work <br /> Task 7, Phase 1 -- SEI to SRI Intertie and <br /> SR08 Outfall Rehabilitation <br /> Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. (Service Provider) agrees to furnish the City of Everett (City)the following <br /> services as an amendment to the scope of work and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the <br /> agreement to provide engineering services in support of force main inspections effective November 2, 2018 <br /> (Agreement).The budget for this work is presented in Exhibit D. <br /> The subtask budget subtotals in Exhibit D identify Service Provider's anticipated focus and level of effort; <br /> however,the subtask budget subtotals do not represent not-to-exceed budget limits.The overall budget <br /> total for this amendment of$205,418 shall be the not-to-exceed budget limit. Managing to the overall <br /> budget total shall be affected in recognition that some subtask budgets may be exceeded while others may <br /> be under-spent. Invoices shall be prepared and submitted on approximately a monthly basis and configured <br /> so that labor and expenses costs are grouped and tracked at the subtask level (e.g. Subtask 7.1,Subtask 7.2, <br /> Subtask 7.3, etc.). <br /> The purpose of this project is to provide design, engineering, and related services to the City for the South <br /> End Interceptor(SEI) and Snohomish River Interceptor(SRI) Project.The objectives of this project are <br /> twofold, as defined below. First,to evaluate options for a 30" intertie between the SEI and SRI.This intertie <br /> will have the capability to reroute flow and isolate portions of the existing SEI system, improving <br /> maintenance, repair and inspection capability.This project will also develop pre-design drawings for the <br /> rehabilitation of the existing SR08 outfall 60" RCP to further mitigate operational risks during maintenance <br /> and inspection activities. <br /> This is a phased project,with contract phases currently anticipated as described below.The initial scope and <br /> fee will be for Phase 1 (Amendment 1) and future phases may be authorized by amendment at the City's <br /> discretion in accordance with the original Agreement. <br /> • Phase 1:Alternatives Analysis for the intertie between the SEI and SRI (Subtask 7.3) and Rehabilitation <br /> Design of the SR08 Outfall Pipe (Subtask 7.4) <br /> • Phase 2: Design and Bidding Services <br /> • Phase 3: Services During Construction <br /> The initial scope of work for this amendment will be for Phase 1 only.The detailed scope of work for Phases <br /> 2 and 3 is contingent on the results of Phase 1 and will be developed when that work has been completed. <br /> The City project team will direct and work with the Service Provider throughout the project to provide <br /> information,guidance, and conduct the decision-making processes.The City's Project Manager will lead the <br /> City's team and manage the Service Provider's contract. <br /> Anticipated Schedule <br /> Work is anticipated to begin in July 2019 and continue as indicated below. Phase 1 duration is estimated at 8 <br /> months.This anticipated schedule is dependent on the date of Notice to Proceed (NTP): <br /> • Anticipated NTP:July 15, 2019 <br /> • Surveying:August 2019 <br /> • Alternatives Analysis (Subtask 7.3) and Rehabilitation Pre-design (Subtask 7.4):August 2019 through <br /> March 2020 <br /> • Design:April 2020 through December 2020 [No design services included in this Scope of Work] <br /> lIP G <br />
