to show subsurface utility locations. Survey assumptions are as follows:
• Maintenance holes over 25 feet deep or full of debris/water may not be surveyed since they
may require confined space entry to access the maintenance hole in order to accurately
measure the depth (if needed).
• Trees of significance will be surveyed.Trees will be labeled with trunk and dripline diameter and
will only be classified as coniferous or deciduous as far as the tree species unless directed
otherwise.
• Survey will call free one-call service and pick-up utilities that are marked. Survey will coordinate
with a private utility locator to verify accuracy and completeness of information obtained from
free one-call service within the survey limits.
• Mapping will conform to City CAD standards (to be delivered to survey firm at a minimum of one
week prior to field survey) and if no standards are provided Survey will use APWA CAD
standards.
• City to deliver all GIS utility data in typical GIS format at a minimum of 1 week prior to field
survey.
• Survey Basemaps will be provided in: U.S. Survey Feet NAD 83 (2011) horizontal and NAVD 88
vertical datum's unless otherwise directed.
• Construction control is to be set outside of construction zone but within project area so that it
can be used for construction.
• The site survey will comply with the ASCE/CI/UESI Standard Guideline for the Collection and
Depiction of Existing Subsurface Utilities Data and will be tied to the project survey datum. The
survey will implement Quality Level C(QLC)which involves surveying visible utility facilities (e.g.,
maintenance holes, valve boxes, utility locates, etc.) and correlating this information with
existing utility records. In addition, Utility Quality Level A(QLA) assigning an (x,y,and z
geometry)where utilities are directly exposed will be implemented for up to 20 locations.
• Survey assumes 4 potholing or pipe probes may be used to trace underground utilities, if
needed to resolve crossing conflicts, etc.
• Survey assumes that the SR08 will be scanned and City to assist opening both vault lids.
• Field survey will be conducted along the alignment of the existing SR08 outfall pipe and outfall
in the river, where future excavations may be required,to include location of existing utilities
and other surface features. Investigation of the existing SR08 outfall terminus and river site will
require access by boat provided by the Service Provider and using appropriate safety
procedures.
• Field survey at outfall location will include obtaining elevations along any exposed pipe,
locations and elevations of other structural features, obtain elevations of top of bank, bottom of
bank, and 3-5 cross-sections of the river at the outfall alignment. The survey will be sufficient to
produce a detailed cross section at the pipeline outfall location.
Deliverables:
• Existing conditions topographic Base Map (PDF)with Subcontractor's professional land surveyor stamp
and signature (no Hard Copies)
• Existing Conditions 2D survey electronic file in AutoCAD 2016 or 2018-2020 Format
• Existing 3D Surface DTM in electronic file in AutoCAD 2016 or 2018-2020 Format
• Horizontal and Vertical Survey Control Drawings (Electronic PDF's only, no hard copies)
51P
