Survey Limit Boundaries <br /> The survey is anticipated to require up to two (2) 10-hour work days in the field for a two-person survey firm <br /> crew to complete the survey.The river survey at the outfall location is anticipated to require one (1) 8-hour <br /> day that includes mob and de-mob of the small boat that will be required to complete the river cross- <br /> sections and outfall survey.The river survey will be performed concurrently with the land survey effort for <br /> maximum efficiency. The survey will include incorporating the geotechnical boreholes, (as documented in <br /> the HWA Geosciences Inc. report titled Final Geotechnical Data Report, Group 3-Public Amenities Riverfront <br /> Development, November 2, 2011) and other surface features in the vicinity of the project area. (It is <br /> understood that there may be some landfill gas vents in the project area which should be considered for this <br /> project work; City staff will help identify these vents to the surveys for inclusion in the base map.) <br /> Service Provider shall prepare a 1"=20"topographic base map of the project limits, including staging area <br /> and routes into the site.The base map will include, but not be limited to, access roads, key surface features, <br /> signs,trees of significance,ditches, culverts, buried pipes, catch basins, utility poles, outfall SR08 terminus, <br /> and other surface and subsurface features within the survey limits. Utility locates services will identify <br /> applicable subsurface features prior to the survey. <br /> Specific field investigation and surveying activities include: <br /> • Field Investigation:The Service Provider's Project Manager, Design Manager,Structural Engineer and <br /> SR08 Outfall Pipe Rehabilitation Design Lead (or designee) shall conduct a field investigation to evaluate <br /> the project site.The investigation will include a very broad-brush visual inspection of the SR08 vault <br /> wall.The City will assist with opening the SR08 structure for inspection. Note that no field inspection of <br /> the SR08 outfall in the river will be conducted during this phase of the project. Upon review of the City- <br /> provided data (Subtask 7.4),the Service Provider may recommend that this investigation be conducted <br /> during Phase 2, Design and Bid Services. <br /> • Utility Locating: Utility locating services will be arranged to paint the surface and identify utilities <br /> located within the project area for use by the survey firm. <br /> • Surveying:The qualified surveying firm shall conduct a field survey to develop a topographical map and <br /> 41P 4 G E <br />
