Cable braces shall be provided for all cables, and shall be designed to maintain NEC <br /> Table 490.24 minimum clearances from insulated buses or bare terminations to <br /> incoming cable jackets,when raceways enter the designated area of the equipment. <br /> 10. Provide bare copper ground bus (minimum 1.5 inches x 0.25 inch) the full width of <br /> the switch section, with vertical risers to each cable termination area for stress cone <br /> shield lead termination. <br /> a. Provide A.B. Chance ground stud, part #C600-2102, on accessible part of <br /> ground bus in each switch for connection of owner's maintenance grounding <br /> ., equipment. <br /> 11. The switches shall be equipped with steel barriers between the left and right switch <br /> sections. <br /> 12. Front and rear compartments of each 15kV switch shall be separated by barriers <br /> such that rear access to the switch that is open will be safe from voltage contact with <br /> the switch that is closed or any live bus in front compartment of switch. <br /> 2.03 DRY TYPE TRANSFORMER <br /> A. General Requirements and Ratings: <br /> 1. Design and build the transformer sections of the unit substations in accordance with <br /> the latest issues of standards referenced in Paragraph 1.03 (above). Each shall be <br /> rated as follows. <br /> 2. Indoor, ventilated, vacuum impregnated polyester resin,dry type transformer. <br /> 3. Output rating shall be 2500/3125 KVA at 80°�C rise above ambient with complete <br /> forced air cooling system to increase the capacity at the base and the higher <br /> temperature continuous ratings by 133%. Ratings apply for operation in a 30 <br /> degrees C average ambient temperature in any 24 hour period and a 40 degrees C <br /> maximum ambient temperature. <br /> 4. Frequency: 60 Hz. <br /> 5. Impedance: NEMA Standard. <br /> 6. Sound Level: <br /> a. All self cooled Ratings: NEMA Standard. <br /> b. All forced air Ratings: NEMA Standard. <br /> 7. Altitude: <br /> a. All ratings applicable at 3,300 feet above sea level or below. <br /> 8. Phasing: <br /> a. Xi Lags H1 by 30 degrees. <br /> 9. Primary Winding: <br /> a. 12.47kV nominal, 90 kV BIL. <br /> b. Delta connected. <br /> 10. Secondary Winding: <br /> a. 2400Y-1385V, 20 kV BIL. <br /> b. Wye connected for solidly grounded operation. <br /> B. Windings: Copper. Silver plated at primary and secondary termination points. Disk <br /> wound primary with flat strap conductors, sheet wound secondary. <br /> C. Insulation: Insulation system shall be Class H 220 degrees C, UL component <br /> recognized. Primary and secondary coils shall be vacuum pressure impregnated with <br /> polyester 220 degrees C resin. Prior to impregnation, coils shall be subjected to vacuum <br /> drying treatment. <br /> D.
