Wall section 3/A4.2 should be revised to show this requirement or a different fire- resistive wall assembly should be provided. Section R303.2 a) Have changed the (2) one-hour walls to one 2-hr party wall assembly. Wall section 3/A4.2 has been updated to reflect this as well as detail 3b/A4.2. 4.Wall section 3/A4.2 should be clarified to show that fire-retardant sheathing is also required for eave overhangs and over-framing within 4' of the two-hour wall. Section R302.2.2 a) The wall section 3/A4.2 has been clarified with a notation for 1-Hr fire-retardant sheathing for eaves and over-hanges w/i 4' of party wall. 5.The site plan shows approximately 10 feet between buildings B and C. Based on that distance, the eves parallel to the assumed property line should be protected on the underside by one-hour, fire-resistive construction. Section R302.1 a) A notation has been added to the building elevation sheet (A1.1) and roof plan sheet (A2.4) for min. 1-Hr fire protection to underside of eves that are less than 5' from the assumed property line. 6.The two-hour walls should be shown to continue to the underside of the over-framed dormer sheathing between units 2 &3. Section R302.2 a) Elevation sheets A1.1 show & notate the 2-hr wall to continue to the underside of the over-framed sheathing 7.An additional 20-minute door (or approved alternate) should be added to create a hallway between the 'storage' rooms and garages on the lower floors. The doors into the storage rooms could then be reduced to a non-rated passage doorway and note stating 'rooms not to be used as sleeping rooms' should be removed from the plans. Section R302.5.1 -The CO alarms should be shown in the (new) hallway outside of the sleeping rooms on the first level. Section R315.1 -An additional smoke alarm should be shown in the (new) hallway outside of the sleeping rooms on the first level. Section R314.3 a) Floor plan A2.2 has been revised to reflect the change showing a "new" hallway off of the garage and a second 20 min. door into the conditioned space to the rear of the garage in the 16' wide units -CO alarm has been shown in the "new" hallway out side of the sleeping rooms -Additional smoke detector is shown in the "new" hallway out side of the sleeping rooms 8.The glazing at the stair landing in Unit 4 should be shown to be a minimum of 36" a.f.f or safety glazing.
