"IA Q!, \ 1 AN ORDINANCE amending Everett City Code Section 14. 16. 090-140-260-720 and 380 and adding a new 2 section to Everett City Code 14. 16 to be known as 3 Section 14. 16. 135, all relating to the municipal water system of the City of Everett and providing for 4 ,H rules and regulations for the operation and control of the system and providing for fees. , 5 F K 6 i 6 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: That Everett City 7 ICode Chapter 14. 16 is hereby amended to read as follows: 8 9 Section 1. 14. 16. 090 Fixed Rae service. The customers or premises fur- 10 nished fixed rate water service shall be those single unit dwellings located 11 within the city limits, having a water service pipe diameter not larger than 12 three-fours of an inch. No single unit dwelling which is used or occupied in 13 ';i part by an office, commercial enterprise or home occupation of any type shall 14 be eligible for a fixed rate water service. 15 16 it Section 2. 14. 16. 140 Determination of actual cost. For the purpose of this 17 chapter, the terms "cost" or '.'Actual cost" of any work performed for any in- 18 dividual, company, customer, or other agency or city department by the 19 water department, shall include the direct cost of all labor plus twenty-six 20 percent, the direct cost of all material plus ten percent , plus ten percent 21 I administrative and supervisior cost and the direct charge for equipment rental! 22 ! used in connection with the work. 23 ;i 24 Section 3. 14. 16. 260 Frequent turn-ons and shut-offs. In a case where the 25 water is requested to be shut off to a given premises and within a period of 26 less than thirty days the water is requested to be turned on again, except in 27 case of change of ownership, there shall be a special charge made for such 28 I shut-off and turn-on in the amount shown in Section 14. 16. 720, and such special 29 charge shall be added to and considered part of the regular water billing for 30 the premises. it 31 ;1 32 I Section 4. 14. 16. 380 Sprinkl_ng rates and methods.
