November 13, 2013 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 3:00 <br /> p.m., November 13, 2013 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, Council President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Council Members Moore, Roberts, Murphy, Gipson, Bader and <br /> Stonecipher were present. Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> INTERVIEWS — INTERIM POSITION NO. 7 <br /> Council President Moore stated that this was a special meeting for the <br /> purpose of interviewing the seven candidates nominated for Interim City <br /> Council Position No. 7. He noted that June Robinson declined the <br /> interview and is seeking another ambition, and that Art Thomson would be <br /> unable to attend due to a previous engagement. Mr. Thomson submitted <br /> a written statement in lieu of being interviewed. President Moore <br /> reviewed the process by which a candidate will be chosen. <br /> The council members interviewed Kim Nielsen, Elly Smith, Rich Anderson, <br /> Judy Tuohy and Megan Dunn. Each candidate introduced themselves, <br /> responded to questions from the council members and gave a brief <br /> closing. Council President Moore read the statement submitted by Art <br /> Thomson into the record. <br /> The city council meeting recessed and reconvened at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 6, 2013 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that he worked with Pat McClain this past <br /> week at the special legislative session related to The Boeing Company's <br /> 777X. <br /> Council Member Bader reported on his attendance at the Puget Sound <br /> Regional Council Growth Management Committee meeting. <br /> 321 <br />
