November 13, 2013 <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The City Attorney had no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Kinuko Noborikawa, Everett, Chair of Communities of Color Coalition, <br /> spoke regarding an exhibit at the Pacific Science Center, "RACE: Are We <br /> So Different," and workshops provided by the Race and Social Justice <br /> Initiative. <br /> Jay Himmelman, Everett, spoke regarding environmental impact forms <br /> filled out by the city of Everett in 2004 related to the Valley View <br /> Neighborhood. <br /> Gail Chism, Everett, expressed concern regarding the removal of a tree by <br /> the PUD of Snohomish County without notifying the neighbors. <br /> Jackie Minchew, Everett; Gail Chism, Everett; and Andrea Tucker, <br /> Everett; spoke in support of Megan Dunn for Interim Position No. 7. <br /> Cheryl VanWinkle, Everett; Crystal Donner, Lake Stevens; and Tom <br /> Gaffney, Everett; endorsed Rich Anderson for Interim Position No. 7. <br /> Josh Wixson, Everett, spoke in favor of Judy Tuohy for the interim <br /> position. <br /> Gigi Burke, Lake Stevens; Charlene Rawson, Everett; and Marilyn Boyd, <br /> Everett; expressed their opinions regarding the qualifications needed to fill <br /> Council Position No. 7. <br /> The council members offered comments about the process and the <br /> candidates being considered for the appointment. <br /> Council President Moore asked for nominations from each council <br /> member, opened the nominations, and reported that Council Members <br /> Murphy, Bader and Moore nominated Rich Anderson, Council Members <br /> 322 <br />
