2) Construction permits may only be issued to contractors or design professionals <br /> licensed by the State of Washington, owners, or tenants with written <br /> permission from the owners. <br /> 3) If sprinklers are not.required for any other reason prior to December 1, 2007, <br /> WAC 51-50-0903 will require sprinklers to be installed by 12/1/07 for <br /> continued occupancy. <br /> 4) There is no existing certificate of occupancy on file. For `grandfathering' to <br /> take place, the existing occupancy must be documented. A justification must <br /> be provided to include historical uses of the building, various activity <br /> establishment and termination dates, historical occupant loads, frequency and <br /> type of alcohol distribution and means, scope and frequency of food <br /> preparation. Additional information must also include the type of construction, <br /> building area (justification) and number of stories. Sections 105.1 & 102.6 <br /> 5) It should be shown that the wall and ceiling finishes in the assembly rooms <br /> meet a Class B flame spread rating. Section 803.1 <br /> 6) The plans should demonstrate that the basement is not required to be <br /> sprinklered per Section 903.10.1 <br /> Egress <br /> 1) The plans should show in sufficient detail the location, construction, size and <br /> character of all portions of the means of egress. The drawings should <br /> designate the number of occupants to be accommodated on every floor, and in <br /> all rooms and spaces. Section 106.1.2 <br /> 2) Stair enclosures should be provided for the stairways that serve more than one <br /> • adjacent floor. Section 1019.1 <br /> 3) Two means of egress should be shown from the basement and second floor <br /> areas. Section 1018.1 <br /> 4) The rear exit doors should swing in the direction of egress travel. Section <br /> 1008.1.2 <br /> 5) Panic hardware should be shown at each door serving an occupant load of 100 <br /> or more. Section 1008.1.9 <br /> 6) Per Section 1006.3 & UFC Section 1026.5, emergency illumination should be <br /> shown on the plans in the following locations: <br />
