Ted de Budden
From: Ted de Budden
Sent: Thursday,April 06, 2017 1:18 PM
To: Kevin Fagerstrom
Cc: Leroy McNulty;Tony Lee
Subject: RE:2930 Hoyt
Kevin,
I visited 2930 Hoyt this morning to look into the concerns related to the deteriorated stair structure.
We viewed and photographed the stairway-fire escape structure from the adjacent parking lot to the south, due to the
no trespassing signs and gated and fenced rear yard.
The stair structure is extremely deteriorated and dangerous as defined by code.
I showed photos of the stair structure to our in house Structural Engineer James Bronder.James is in agreement with me
that this is a Dangerous and Unsafe Structure.
It is my position that this structure and any occupied areas that require the use of this stairway assembly be condemned
and immediately vacated.
We can post IPMC placards on location or provide postings for your use as necessary.
FYI, my research failed to discover records indicating that this structure is officially approved to be other than a single
family residence. Further investigation of this is recommended.
Regards
Ted M.de Budden
Chief Inspector
Everett Building Department
425.257 7271
From: Kevin Fagerstrom
Sent:Thursday, April 06, 2017 8:20 AM
To:Ted de Budden; Leroy McNulty
Subject: FW: 2930 Hoyt
Sirs,
An Everett Patrol Officer fell through some corrupted stairs ion a fire escape at this address.
