CITY OF EVERETT STREETSCAPE EVALUATION Agreement with Perteet Inc. July 2019 work with Everett Parks to devise a CAD block legend for their use in depicting streetscape features with simplified symbols that are more dimensionally consistent to the size and location of streetscape features.Drawings and making CAD drawing modifications to create a simplified schematic inventory drawing set will be done by the City. The CAD inventory is assumed to provide approximately 20 drawing sheets with match-lines and legends that will be formatted for 11x17 printouts for further review under Task 2. Deliverables: • Field sketch protocols in memo or email format with a sample sketch of one streetscape area provided by the Perteet Landscape Architect. • CAD legend for City use in creating the CAD drawing set provided by the Perteet Landscape Architect. Assumptions: • City staff will complete the field inventory and CAD work for the drawing set. Schedule: • The schedule for the delivery of the sketch protocols and CAD legend will be approximately 1-2 weeks after notice to proceed is obtained for this scope. Task 2— Prepare Summary Technical Memo Perteet will further assist the City of Everett by meeting with Everett Parks staff to walk the streetscape with the inventory drawings to consider a design remedy.A 3-to-4-page written memo with photographs will be prepared by Perteet from this meeting to summarize and portray the overall project issues. Photographs will be included for general visual understanding of the existing streetscape conditions,and for the intended purpose of City administration understanding of suggested design changes to the current condition.The design remedy is assumed to be a recommended modification of planter and basket locations and density/concentrations to allow for continued public and visual/aesthetic benefits and for the City to internally consider operations and maintenance resources related to the streetscape and seasonal flower color. The memo will stick to the objective issues of the current and recommended design conditions. Deliverables: • Prepare draft and final memo versions to be submitted to the City via email in PDF format. • Provide monthly progress statements and invoices submitted to City project manager.Perteet assumes up to three (3)monthly invoices with progress reports in memo format under this task and for the overall project. Assumptions: • Everett Parks will annotate desired design changes to the inventory drawings. • Design drawings may be included in the Perteet memo if provided in PDF format. • Perteet will attend one pre-production meeting with City of Everett staff to discuss the field conditions and memo content prior to production.Perteet assumes participation of one(1)Perteet Associate Principal Landscape Architect at this meeting. • City feedback on the draft memo would be provided by email or verbally prior to finalization—one round of consolidated City comments is assumed. • One minor revision to the memo is assumed before the final memo is produced and submitted. 2 File location: C:\Users\janice.kramer\AppDoto\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Content.Outlook\OBPZAYT5\Everett Streetscape Scope of Services August 29 2019 Revised.doc
