m. Allow the VISTA member to participate in Days of Service (e.g., MLK Day of Service, <br /> National Volunteer Week, Make A Difference Day) should activities be organized by <br /> HopeWorks or in the community where the VISTA member is serving. <br /> n. Inform the HopeWorks VISTA Project Director of any changes in status of the VISTA and <br /> other concerns related to the VISTA Project. <br /> o. Reimburse HopeWorks Social Enterprises$5,000 for costs associated with VISTA Project <br /> Sponsorship and Management.This amount will be due 90 days before the placement <br /> of the Project Host Site's first VISTA member start date. If the Project Host Site cannot <br /> pay the amount in full at that date,they must request a payment plan with HopeWorks. <br /> This should be done before signing this document.The Project Host Site has until 120 <br /> days before their first VISTA member placement start date to request a payment plan. If <br /> this MOU has been signed already, HopeWorks will draft a payment plan to amend this <br /> agreement and both parties will need to resign the amended MOU. HopeWorks has the <br /> sole discretion in creating the payment plan to meet the payments required by CNCS, <br /> but will do its best effort to accommodate the Project Host Site's situation. <br /> p. The Project Host Site agrees to provide project updates whenever requested, including <br /> quarterly Project Progress Reports (PPR)with VISTA member input and supplemental <br /> reports requested by CNCS to HopeWorks Social Enterprises VISTA Project Director. Not <br /> all reporting dates are yet known and HopeWorks will endeavor to give at least a 30 day <br /> notice before each report is due. <br /> q. The Project Host Site will allow HopeWorks VISTA Project Director to conduct random <br /> site visits to ensure that this MOU and the terms and conditions of the Memorandum of <br /> Agreement between the Corporation for National &Community Service (CNCS) and <br /> HopeWorks Social Enterprises CNCS Project Number 19VSPWA001,and federal laws and <br /> regulations and CNCS policies applicable to the project are being followed. <br /> r. Ensrue VISTA member complies with all City of Everett policies. <br /> 3. Joint Responsibilities <br /> Both parties to the Memorandum of Understanding shall: <br /> a. Make every reasonable effort to ensure that the health and safety of the VISTA <br /> members are protected during the performance of their assigned duties. Neither the <br /> Project Sponsor nor the Project Host Site shall assign or require VISTA members to <br /> perform duties which would jeopardize their safety or cause them to sustain injuries. <br /> b. Ensure that persons selected as VISTA members are not related by blood or marriage to <br /> Project Host Site staff, Project Sponsor staff, officers or members of the Project Host <br /> Site's or the Project Sponsor Site's boards of directors,or responsible program staff at <br /> CNCS. <br /> c. Neither the Project Sponsor nor the Project Host Site has the discretion or authority to <br /> dismiss or separate a VISTA member from service; CNCS is the sole authority that can <br /> terminate a VISTA member's term of service.The Project Site should document any <br />
