s
;
;_
The pavement aection for lightly loaded traffic or parking areas should
t- consist of two inches of Asphalt Surfacieg over four inches uf Crushed Rock
Base or three inches o: Asphalt Treated (APB). Heavier loaded [raffic areas
will require thicker sections. We will be pleased to assist you in
developing appropriate pavement sections for heavy traffic zones, if r.eeded.
1..
i
-

e-
Additional Servicea
We recommend that Terra Asaociates, Inc, be requested to conduct a general
reviev of the final design and r:ecificetions to verify thet earthwork and
foundation recommendations have Ueen properly in[erpreted and implemented in
Che design of [he praject.
The analyses and recommendations submitted in this report are based upon the
date obtained from the test pits excavated on the site. Subsurface
conditions different from those observed in the test pits may exist on [he
site. The nature and exten[ of such variations may not become known until
eonatruction is underway. If variations are then observed, prior to
proceeding with constructi.on, Terra Associates, Inc, should be requested [o
reevaluete the recommendations presented in this report.
It is also recommended tha[ we be retained to provide geotechnical services
during conatruction. Thi.s is to observe compliance with the design concepts,
,. specifications, and reconunendations; and to allow design changes in the event
j subsurface conditions differ from those anticipated prior tu the start of
G construction. We recommend thet Terra Associates, Inc. provide the folloving
services during cons[ruction:
 (A) Examine all st•ripped and overexcavated subgrade areas prior
to the s[art uf earthwork. Observe the proofrolling process.

F
Y
(B) Examir tll foundation and slab areas prior to :orming and
conc:[e placement to evaluate that adequate foundation
support is available. '
(C) Perform field denity testing of struc[ui•al fills during
placement, and observe the grading and earthWork operation.
We recommend that a minimum of [wo working days' notice be given to schedule
our services during construction.
D.-..:..... l,t..
