September 18, 2019 <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney David Hall requested authorization to initiate a lawsuit against <br /> Golden Eagle Farms. He explained that potential litigation against the blueberry <br /> farm for damage to Larimer Road was discussed in executive session several weeks <br /> ago, and authorization to proceed was now needed from Council in a public <br /> meeting. <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member Murphy, to <br /> authorize the City to initiate a lawsuit against U. S. Golden Eagle Farms LP and <br /> Golden Eagle Farms LTD to recover damages incurred by the City due to the <br /> defendant's activities undermining Larimer road. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Members <br /> Vogeli, Roberts, and Stonecipher who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Anne Morgan,on behalf the Everett Bike/Walk Committee, presented information <br /> relating to pedestrian and bicycle safety in Everett. <br /> President Bader requested information from Administration that provides <br /> additional data about pedestrian/bicycle accidents. He also encouraged Ms. <br /> Morgan, or anyone else who is interested, to attend a meeting of the <br /> Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC). <br /> Kristin Kinnamon, representing Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop in Everett, <br /> also spoke about the need for changes relating to crosswalks and pedestrian <br /> safety. <br /> 277 <br />
