The building inspector, Mike Huhta, will
meet with the Pastor at the site today for an inspection.
,t.'.
0529_OOI.pdF
Since we are awaiting the toilet room and changing room design from the architect based on discussions in the
fieid yesterday, work on those areas should not proceed until a sketch has been received and processed for
insertion into the site set for this permit. Please clarify on that sketch how the floor will be constructed at the new
storage room (formerly the elevator pit).
2. Site correction for permit B0901-019 for Sound Booth and Staqe
It was agreed at the site that the details submitted by the engineer for the support of the second floor balcony are
acceptabie to the owner, and the permit will be issued within the week.
3. Site correction for permit 80901-019 for TI - NEW SECOND FLOOR OFFICES at 830 SE EVERETT MALL
A permit has not been issued for this work. These comments are in addition to the third corrections letter dated
hlay 15, 2009.
-Meg
Tony identified a code violation at the site with the exterior stairs to the second floor. Although the drawings
irdicate that the height of the stair is ten feet, the measured height after visual inspection is 14'-6", which requires
an intermediate landing per IBC section 1009.6.
• That landing needs to be the minimurn required width of the stair in length, 44 inches, per IBC section
1009.4.
• Landings are also required at the top and bottom of the stair, where the landing walking surface is not
steeper than 2 percent slope (1:48), per IBC section 1009.5.1.
• The comments on the correction letters regarding the requirements for handrail and guard are still
applicable.
Steve identified missing information from the second floor framing plan:
• The detail and location for the strap design for the new second floor framing to attach to the existing
framing is required iram the structural engineer.
. c, , __. __ . i . .,_, _.
