However, additional information is still required prior to issuing permits.
1. The elevator cab submitted in the drawings does not meet the requirements of the city ordinance for a 24 inch by 84 inch
stretcher-reference sheet A2.3. We are researching whether or not an administrative action can be written on this issue to allow
for a smaller elevator-see attaciied. Is the new area of the mezzanine less than 3000 square fet?
2. The etevator and mezzanine would be required to be submitted under a separate "shell permiP' if the work is not going to be
completed. The accessory religious rooms in the northwest quadrant can then receive the certificate of occupancy as a"tenant
improvement', and the new mezzanine and elevator shouid be submitted separately.
3. We agree that the resolution of the use of the child care in the accessory religious rooms requires a letter from the owner.
4. The architectural details and design for the projection booth, stage, baptistery, mezzanine and elevator wili be required before a
permit can be issued for that work. Structurai details are required for the baptistery pool, new stage, new meuanine and new
elevator lo include: dMails of the structural support assembly, matcrial sizc, thickncss, dimensioning, and connections, per IBC
I G03. I .
If a meeting will not be the best way to resolve these issues, we can work directly with Alex Cherba to determine the scope and
valuation of what is submitted for permit.
Thanks,
Meg
From: Ruth Gonzales [mailto:gdp@gte.net]
Sent: Wednesday, Odober 08, 2008 2:38 PM
To: Meg Haley; lehnleng@ncplus.net; acherba@gmail.com; dodyssey@hotmail.com
Cc: Tony Lee; Steve Miller
Subjed: RE: Harvest Christian Center; 830 SE Ev:rett Mall Way: 60801-047
1. The elevator was sized to accommodate the gurney dimensions. The elevation structure needs to be installed under this phase
in anticipation of the future mezzanine phase. The floor I ceiling framing for the mezzanine will be in:>talled under this phase to
provide the ceiling system for the main flocr but the upper level shall not be complet, at this time.
2. Alex shall deliver wet stamped structural drawings.
3.The nursery is not a daycare as defined by 2006 IRC 305.1, 305.2 and Section 506.3.1. The Nursf:ry area is for parents with
children who need to take a break from services. It shall be used only as a support to church functions and gives parents a place
to take their child for changing, nursing, etc. The primary use shall be for babies and toddlers under the age of 30 montfis.
Occupancy and use shall be less than 5 over the age of 30 months. The nursery area is less than 10% of the main Assembly A-3
use and less than 100 occupants. A letter from the church shall be provided to confirm the use as noted above.
4. This projects phase shall include the main floor class rooms in the northwest quadrant of the structure, shaft and support
structure for the elevator (no elevator equipment), the sound booth, and stage.
