Stantec will propose a process for screening treatment alternatives based on
qualitative assessment and develop draft criteria and methodologies for quantitative evaluation of
detailed liquid and solids stream alternatives. These will be described in a TM for City review prior to the
technology screening workshop in Subtask 500.002.
Subtask 500.002 Technology Screening and Alternative Development
Stantec will conduct a 4-hour workshop with City staff to review possible alternatives for improving
WPCF performance, resiliency, redundancy and accommodating future growth, climate and regulatory
conditions. Brief alternative descriptions will be provided to City staff prior to the workshop, and the
screening process will be conducted collaboratively by City staff and two Stantec subject matter experts.
The screening process cover a broad range of management strategies incorporating treatment, reuse,
and resource recovery opportunities and will identify up to four alternatives to be considered for
detailed evaluation.Stantec will prepare an agenda and minutes for the workshop.
Subtask 500.003 South Plant Alternatives
Stantec will conduct detailed analysis of the four most favorable alternatives resulting from Subtask
500.002.A progress workshop will be conducted with City staff to review alternatives development and
present preliminary findings prior to finalizing the alternatives analysis.
