Toning pigments shall be <br /> 29 laminar silicates, titanium dioxide, and inorganic oxides only. There shall be no settling <br /> 30 or color variation. Tinting shall occur at the factory at the time of manufacture and <br /> 31 placement in containers, prior to initial shipment. The Contractor shall submit a 1-quart wet sample, a drawdown <br /> 35 color sample, and spectrophotometer or colorimeter readings taken in accordance with <br /> 36 ASTM D2244, for each batch and corresponding standard color card. The calculated <br /> 37 Delta E shall not exceed 1.5 from the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage <br /> 38 (CIELAB) when measured at 10 degrees Standard Observer and Illuminant D 65. <br /> 39 <br /> I <br /> 40 The 1-quart wet sample shall be submitted in the manufacturer's labeled container with <br /> 41 product number, batch number, and size of batch. The companion drawdown color <br /> 42 sample shall be labeled with the product number, batch number, and size of batch. The <br /> 43 Contractor shall submit the specified samples and readings to the Engineer at least 14 <br /> 44 calendar days prior to the scheduled application of the sealer.
