I <br /> I1 1-05.11 Final Inspection <br /> 2 Delete this Section and replace it with the following: <br /> I 3 <br /> 4 1-05.11 Final Inspections and Operational Testing <br /> 5 <br /> I 6 1-05.11(1) Substantial Completion Date <br /> 7 When the Contractor considers the Work to be substantially complete, the Contractor <br /> 8 shall so notify the Engineer and request the Engineer establish the Substantial <br /> 9 Completion Date. The Contractor's request shall list the specific items of Work that <br /> I10 remain to be completed in order to reach Physical Completion. The Engineer will <br /> 11 schedule an inspection of the Work with the Contractor to determine the status of <br /> 12 completion. The Engineer may also establish the Substantial Completion Date <br /> I <br /> 13 <br /> 14 unilaterally. <br /> 15 If, after this inspection, the Engineer concurs with the Contractor that the Work is <br /> I <br /> 16 <br /> 17 substantially complete and ready for its intended use, the Engineer, by written notice to <br /> the Contractor, will set the Substantial Completion Date. If, after this inspection the <br /> 18 Engineer does not consider the Work substantially complete and ready for its intended <br /> 19 use, the Engineer will, by written notice, so notify the Contractor giving the reasons <br /> I 20 therefore. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Upon receipt of written notice concurring in or denying Substantial Completion, <br /> I <br /> 23 <br /> 24 whichever is applicable, the Contractor shall pursue vigorously, diligently and without <br /> unauthorized interruption, the Work necessary to reach Substantial and Physical <br /> 25 Completion. The Contractor shall provide the Engineer with a revised schedule <br /> I <br /> 26 <br /> 27 indicating when the Contractor expects to reach Substantial and Physical Completion <br /> of the Work. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 The above process shall be repeated until the Engineer establishes the Substantial <br /> I <br /> 30 Completion Date and the Contractor considers the Work physically complete and <br /> 31 ready for final inspection. <br /> 32 <br /> I 33 1-05.11(2) Final Inspection and Physical Completion Date <br /> 34 When the Contractor considers the Work physically complete and ready for final <br /> 35 inspection, the Contractor by written notice, shall request the Engineer to schedule a <br /> I 36 final inspection. The Engineer will set a date for final inspection. The Engineer and the <br /> 37 Contractor will then make a final inspection and the Engineer will notify the Contractor <br /> 38 in writing of all particulars in which the final inspection reveals the Work incomplete or <br /> 39 unacceptable. The Contractor shall immediately take such corrective measures as are <br /> I 40 necessary to remedy the listed deficiencies. Corrective Work shall be pursued <br /> 41 vigorously, diligently, and without interruption until Physical Completion of the listed <br /> 42 deficiencies. This process will continue until the Engineer is satisfied the listed <br /> I 43 deficiencies have been corrected. <br /> 44 <br /> 45 If action to correct the listed deficiencies is not initiated within 7 days after receipt of <br /> I <br /> 46 <br /> 47 the written notice listing the deficiencies, the Engineer may, upon written notice to the <br /> Contractor, take whatever steps are necessary to correct those deficiencies pursuant <br /> 48 to Section 1-05.7. <br /> 49 <br /> I City of Everett Page SP1-27 Special Provisions <br /> Everett Station 80 Stall Parking Expansion June 2019 <br />
