I I1 1-05.11 Final Inspection 2 Delete this Section and replace it with the following: I 3 4 1-05.11 Final Inspections and Operational Testing 5 I 6 1-05.11(1) Substantial Completion Date 7 When the Contractor considers the Work to be substantially complete, the Contractor 8 shall so notify the Engineer and request the Engineer establish the Substantial 9 Completion Date. The Contractor's request shall list the specific items of Work that I10 remain to be completed in order to reach Physical Completion. The Engineer will 11 schedule an inspection of the Work with the Contractor to determine the status of 12 completion. The Engineer may also establish the Substantial Completion Date I 13 14 unilaterally. 15 If, after this inspection, the Engineer concurs with the Contractor that the Work is I 16 17 substantially complete and ready for its intended use, the Engineer, by written notice to the Contractor, will set the Substantial Completion Date. If, after this inspection the 18 Engineer does not consider the Work substantially complete and ready for its intended 19 use, the Engineer will, by written notice, so notify the Contractor giving the reasons I 20 therefore. 21 22 Upon receipt of written notice concurring in or denying Substantial Completion, I 23 24 whichever is applicable, the Contractor shall pursue vigorously, diligently and without unauthorized interruption, the Work necessary to reach Substantial and Physical 25 Completion. The Contractor shall provide the Engineer with a revised schedule I 26 27 indicating when the Contractor expects to reach Substantial and Physical Completion of the Work. 28 29 The above process shall be repeated until the Engineer establishes the Substantial I 30 Completion Date and the Contractor considers the Work physically complete and 31 ready for final inspection. 32 I 33 1-05.11(2) Final Inspection and Physical Completion Date 34 When the Contractor considers the Work physically complete and ready for final 35 inspection, the Contractor by written notice, shall request the Engineer to schedule a I 36 final inspection. The Engineer will set a date for final inspection. The Engineer and the 37 Contractor will then make a final inspection and the Engineer will notify the Contractor 38 in writing of all particulars in which the final inspection reveals the Work incomplete or 39 unacceptable. The Contractor shall immediately take such corrective measures as are I 40 necessary to remedy the listed deficiencies. Corrective Work shall be pursued 41 vigorously, diligently, and without interruption until Physical Completion of the listed 42 deficiencies. This process will continue until the Engineer is satisfied the listed I 43 deficiencies have been corrected. 44 45 If action to correct the listed deficiencies is not initiated within 7 days after receipt of I 46 47 the written notice listing the deficiencies, the Engineer may, upon written notice to the Contractor, take whatever steps are necessary to correct those deficiencies pursuant 48 to Section 1-05.7. 49 I City of Everett Page SP1-27 Special Provisions Everett Station 80 Stall Parking Expansion June 2019
