1 Section 3-01, Production from Quarry and Pit Sites 2 April 2, 2018 3 3-01.1 Description 4 The first paragraph is revised to read: 5 6 This Work shall consist of manufacturing and producing crushed and screened aggregates 7 including pit run aggregates of the kind, quality, and grading specified for use in the 8 construction of concrete, hot mix asphalt, crushed surfacing, maintenance rock, ballast, 9 gravel base, gravel backfill, gravel borrow, riprap, and bituminous surface treatments of all 10 descriptions. 11 12 Section 4-04, Ballast and Crushed Surfacing 13 April 2, 2018 14 4-04.3(5) Shaping and Compaction 1 15 This section is supplemented with the following new paragraph: 16 17 When using 100% Recycled Concrete Aggregate, the Contractor may submit a written 18 request to use a test point evaluation for compaction acceptance testing in lieu of 19 compacting to 95% of the standard density as determined by the requirements of Section 2- 20 03.3(14)D. The test point evaluation shall be performed in accordance with SOP 738. 21 22 Section 5-01, Cement Concrete Pavement Rehabilitation 23 January 7, 2019 24 5-01.2 Materials 25 The reference for Concrete Patching Material is revised to read: 26 27 Concrete Patching Material, Grout, and Mortar 9-20.1 28 29 5-01.3(1)A1 Concrete Patching Materials 30 In this section, each reference to "9-20" is revised to read "9-20.1". 31 32 5-01.3(4) Replace Cement Concrete Panel 33 This section's content is deleted and replaced with the following new subsections: 34 35 5-01.3(4)A General 36 Curing, cold weather work, concrete pavement construction in adjacent lines, and 37 protection of pavement shall meet the requirements of Section 5-05.3(13) through Section 38 5-05.3(15). The Contractor, at no cost to the Contracting Agency, shall repair any damage 39 to existing pavement caused by the Contractor's operations. 40 41 5-01.3(4)B Sawing and Dimensional Requirements 42 Concrete slabs to be replaced as shown in the Plans or staked by the Engineer shall be at 43 least 6.0 feet long and full width of an existing pavement panel. The portion of the panel to 44 remain in place shall have a minimum dimension of 6 feet in length and full panel width; 45 otherwise the entire panel shall be removed and replaced. There shall be no new joints 46 closer than 3.0 feet to an existing transverse joint or crack.
