City of Everett 01 31 13 - 1 <br /> 3600 Smith Street Clean Up <br /> SECTION 01 31 13 - PROJECT COORDINATION <br /> 1 <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1.1 It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to coordinate all work to be performed <br /> under this contract. The Contractor shall supervise and direct the work and determine <br /> ' the means, methods, techniques, sequences and procedures of construction, except in <br /> those instances where the Owner, to define the quality of an item of work, specifies in <br /> the Contract, a means, method, technique, sequence or procedure for construction of <br /> ' that item of work. <br /> ' 1.2 The Contractor shall notify the Owner in writing of the name of the person who will act <br /> as the Contractor's representative and shall have the authority to act in matter relating <br /> to this Contract. This person shall have the authority to carry out the Provisions of the <br /> Contract and to supply materials, equipment, tools and labor without delay for the <br /> performance of the work. <br /> 1.3 The Contractor agrees to permit entry to the site of the work by the Owner, its employees <br /> or other contractors performing work on behalf of the Owner. The contractor shall afford <br /> to the Owner, other contractors and their employees, reasonable facilities and <br /> 1 cooperation and shall arrange its work and dispose of its materials in such a manner as <br /> to not interfere with the activities of the Owner or of other upon the site of work. The <br /> Contractor shall promptly make good on any Contractor-caused injury or damage to <br /> ' persons or property that may be sustained by other contractors or employees of the <br /> Owner. The Contractor shall coordinate its work with that of others and perform its work <br /> in proper sequence in relation to that of others. <br /> 1.4 If requested bythe Contractor, the Owner will arrange meetings with other contractors <br /> q9 9 <br /> performing work on behalf of the Owner to plan coordination of construction activities. <br /> ' The Contractor shall inform itself of the planned activities of other contractors and shall <br /> coordinate its work with the other contractors. <br /> 1.5 Contractor shall notify the Owner of problems, interference or any difficulty with other <br /> contractors or workers engaged by the Owner. The Notice shall be sufficiently prompt <br /> ' and specific so as to allow the Owner to mitigate or avoid increased costs, time of <br /> performance, damages or injury. Contractor's failure to provide such Notice in a timely <br /> way shall be deemed a waiver and release of any and all Contract Claims relating to, <br /> ' arising out of, or caused by, any alleged interference, difficulty or problem with another <br /> contractor or worker engaged by the Owner. <br /> 1.6 The Contractor shall keep the Everett Transit advised of the progress of all work. <br /> 01 31 13 - 1 PROJECT COORDINATION <br />
