Changes in modifiers used in the asphalt binder. <br /> 2 <br /> 3 5-04.2(2)B Using Warm Mix Asphalt Processes <br /> 4 This section, including title, is revised to read: <br /> 5 <br /> 6 5-04.2(2)B Using HMA Additives <br /> 7 The Contractor may, at the Contractor's discretion, elect to use additives that reduce the <br /> 8 optimum mixing temperature or serve as a compaction aid for producing HMA. Additives <br /> 9 include organic additives, chemical additives and foaming processes.The use of Additives <br /> 10 is subject to the following: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 • Do not use additives that reduce the mixing temperature in accordance with <br /> 13 Section 5-04.3(6) in the production of High RAP/Any RAS mixtures. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 • Before using additives, obtain the Engineer's approval using WSDOT Form 350- <br /> 16 076 to describe the proposed additive and process. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 5-04.3(3)A Mixing Plant ' <br /> 19 Item number 5 of the first paragraph is revised to read: <br /> 20 <br /> 21 5.
