City of Everett 01 1100 <br /> South Precinct Roof Replacement <br /> SECTION 01 1100 - SUMMARY OF WORK <br /> I <br /> PART 1 - GENERAL <br /> 1.1 WORK COVERED BY THIS CONTRACT <br /> A. Briefly and without force and effect on requirements of the Contract Document, the work <br /> of this contract comprises the selective demotion existing rooftop mechanical equipment <br /> and supporting steel structure, installation of rigid insulation and a single ply PVC roof <br /> membrane to approximately 26,500 square feet at the South Police Precinct located at <br /> 1121 SE Everett Mall Way. <br /> B. JOB DESCRIPTION: The following is a general outline, and is not intended to be a <br /> complete listing of the work to be accomplished nor is it intended to be used to indicate <br /> the order the work is to be completed. All items listed below is a general list of items <br /> included in the work and should be verified prior to bidding. The Work.includes but is <br /> not limited to the supply and installation of all materials, equipment, and labor necessary <br /> to perform the work in full. <br /> C. Base Bid includes the following items: <br /> 1. Selective demolition of existing rooftop HVAC equipment. <br /> 2. Demotion of existing steel structure that supports the existing HVAC equipment. <br /> 3. Demolition of existing wood column caps, demolition of existing bolts, and patching <br /> of the vapor barrier at the existing column caps. <br /> 4. Installation of rigid insulation and cover board. <br /> 5. Installation of a single ply PVC membrane. <br /> 6. Installation of prefinished metal flashing. <br /> 7. Final cleanup. <br /> D. Work under the Contract shall also include: <br /> 1. Protection of the existing vapor barrier and all existing rooftop equipment and <br /> Ifencing. <br /> E. CONTRACTS <br /> 1. The Work shall be performed under one Prime Contract and shall consist of all <br /> work being complete and ready for use, as indicated on the drawings and as <br /> specified in these specifications, including alternates agreed upon by the Owner <br /> and the Contractor, at the time of award of the contract, or such later time as <br /> mutually agreed upon by the Owner and the Contractor. <br /> 2. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies and other <br /> items necessary to construct and complete the work in accordance with the <br /> drawings, these specifications, and the Laws, Ordinances and codes of the <br /> governing Agencies having jurisdiction; all complete and ready for use, and, as <br /> identified and described above. <br /> 3. The Contract Form is provided in the Contract Documents section of this project <br /> manual. This Form of Contract herein may be subject to change due to changes <br /> in the state indemnity law and for other considerations deemed appropriate or <br /> necessary by the City prior to contract signing. <br /> 01 1100 - 1 SUNnn/ARY OF WORK <br /> I <br />
