City of Everett 00 41 13 - 2 <br /> South Precinct Roof Replacement <br /> 6. Attached is a bid bond, by a guaranty company authorized to carry on business in the state <br /> of Washington, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the "Base Bid" or, <br /> alternately, there is attached a certified or cashier's check payable to the City of Everett <br /> drawn upon a bank in the state of Washington, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the <br /> total amount of the "Base Bid". If this Proposal shall be accepted by the City of Everett, <br /> Washington, and the undersigned shall fail to execute a satisfactory contract and bond as <br /> stated in the Instructions to Bidders, hereto attached, within fourteen (14) calendar days <br /> after the award date, then the City may, at its option, determine that the undersigned has <br /> abandoned the Contract and thereupon this Contract shall be null and void, and the amount <br /> of the bid bond or certified check accompanying this Bid shall be forfeited and become the <br /> property of the City of Everett, Washington. <br /> 7. Undersigned agrees that the Bid constitutes an offer to the Owner which shall be binding for <br /> 60 days from the date of opening of Bids. If Bid is accepted, undersigned agrees to sign <br /> the required agreement form and to furnish the Payment and Performance Bond on the form <br /> contained herein and evidences of insurance required herein within fourteen (14) days of <br /> receipt from the Owner of properly prepared Contract forms. <br /> 8. Undersigned certifies that, at the time of submitting this Bid and throughout the period of the <br /> contract, it will remain licensed by the state of Washington to perform the type of work <br /> required under the Contract Documents. Undersigned further certifies that it is skilled and <br /> regularly engaged in the general class and type of work required by the Contract Documents <br /> and has the capability to successfully manage construction projects. Undersigned agrees <br /> to provide upon request of the Owner all information related to its qualifications and those <br /> of its key personnel and its proposed Subcontractors. <br /> 9. The cost of a 100-percent Performance and Payment Bond, which shall include sales tax, ' <br /> is included in the Bid. <br /> 10. Undersigned further agrees that, if the Bid is accepted and a Contract is awarded by the <br /> Owner, it will plan and execute the work with such diligence that the work and portions <br /> thereof are complete and ready for use in accordance with all specified time tables. <br /> 11. Undersigned bidder certifies that his Bid is in all respects fair, and is made without collusion ' <br /> on the part of any person, firm, or corporation mentioned below, and that no officer or <br /> employee of the City is personally or financially interested, directly or indirectly, in the <br /> Proposal, or in any purposes of, or the sale of, any materials or supplies for the work to <br /> which it relates, or any portion of the profits thereof. <br /> 12. Undersigned acknowledges that Addenda Numbers 1 through 2 have <br /> been received, examined, and taken into account as part of the Bid. Note: signed copies of <br /> all addenda must be submitted with the Bid. <br /> 13 DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE <br /> Undersigned hereby designates Nils Brandt of its office <br /> to which notice of acceptance of this Bid may be mailed or delivered. <br /> 14.
