Stump Removal.This category indicates a stump that should be removed. <br /> 6. Risk Rating-Evaluate risk and assign a risk rating based on an assessment of the <br /> failure mode i.e., brand,whole tree, co-dominant stem with the greatest risk.The <br /> specified period for the risk assessment is one year.The risk component of this <br /> assessment and evaluation is to maintain compliance with the most recent standards <br /> and practices in the arboricultural industry.At minimum, each tree must be assigned a <br /> risk rating of Low, Moderate, High, or Extreme and provide the definition of each risk <br /> rating. <br /> 7. Overhead Utilities—For each tree or site,overhead utilities will be recorded if lines are: <br /> a. Present and not conflicting; <br /> b. Present and conflicting;or <br /> c. Not present. <br /> 8. Date of Assessment—The date data is collected and the name of the arborist is <br /> recorded. <br /> 2.3 QUALITY CONTROL <br /> All assessment arborists must be Certified Arborists through the International Society of <br /> Arboriculture; no students or temporary employees will be allowed.At least one person <br /> associated with the project and on-site for project duration shall have the Tree Risk <br /> Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)through the International Society of Arboriculture. <br /> 2.4 TREE TRIMMING & REMOVAL SERVICES <br /> Work will be performed at various locations throughout City property,within Right of Ways, <br /> easements,City parks or lands within or outside of the City limits. <br /> The Contractor is expected to provide the following general tree services: <br /> • The ability to remove trees considered as hazardous that include those that are or have the <br /> potential of overhanging power lines,towers,transmission lines,houses,structures, <br /> bridges, roadways,buildings, or that may endanger the public or facilities that serve the <br /> public; <br /> • Remove any size tree section-by-section lowering each section to the ground by rope <br /> without felling the tree; <br /> • Chipping limbs and debris as requested; <br /> • Falling trees within limited distances between structures or in open spaces; <br /> • Provide services in limited access work locations where heavy machinery may not be able to <br /> reach the job site; <br /> • Provide chipper services and equipment to chip tree and brush as required; <br /> • Provide trimming, dead wood removal or other related tree services as necessary; <br /> • All work shall be completed within the specified time frame set forth by the City; <br /> • Stump removal and grinding; <br /> 39 <br />
