Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan
The proposed project will disturb greater than 1 acre therefore a Construction Stormwater
Pollution Prevention Plan (C-SWPPP) will be required. Best Management Practices will be
implemented to prevent construction stormwater pollution.
Erosion Control Risk Assessment
Existing site grades vary from 1.5% in paved areas to 70% in the landscaped area along the
north/northeast site boundary. Steep slopes near the northeast corner of the property are
well vegetated and will not be disturbed during redevelopment. The site is completely
stabilized, and largely covered with pavement or roof area. Due to the limited area of
disturbance and the stabilized site the Erosion Control Risk is Low.
Throughout construction erosion control BMPs in compliance with Department of Ecology
guidelines, per the approved NDPES permit, are proposed for the site. The project
construction plans will include Phase I and II erosion control plans, details and notes
which will describe the BMPs proposed for the project. Erosion control BMPs will be used
to protect the existing storm drainage system, including existing catch basins, and prevent
sediment runoff from the site. Proper installation, maintenance, and inspections of the
proposed BMPs should result in minimal erosion and sedimentation impacts to adjacent
properties.
Construction Storm water Pollution Prevention Plan (C-SWPPP)
A temporary erosion and sedimentation control (TESC) plan and construction stormwater
pollution prevention plan (C-SWPPP) has been prepared to assist the contractor in
complying with City and State requirements. See the TESC plans and C-SWPPP associated
with this project for additional information (not included in this report).
The twelve required elements of the C-SWPPP are:
1. Mark Clearing Limits
2. Establish Construction Access
3. Control Flow Rates
4. Install Sediment Controls
5. Stabilize Soils
6. Protect Slopes
7. Protect Drain Inlets
8. Stabilize Channels and Outlets
9.
