• ORDINANCE,NO. .L/0 9 9 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 38, being a part of Ordinance <br /> Number 4085, relating to the municipal water supply system <br /> of the City of Everett, providing rules and regulations for the <br /> operation and control of said system, regulating the supply <br /> and use of water therefrom, providing for the sale of same, <br /> fixing the charges therefor, providing a method of collecting <br /> charges therefor, providing a method of joining collection of <br /> other utilities charges of the City, setting forth terms and <br /> conditions for the use thereof, providing for delinquent charges <br /> and claiming a lien therefor, providing for certain special <br /> charges and penalties for violations and declaring an emergency <br /> to exist and establishing the effective date of this Ordinance to <br /> be August 31, 1965. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 38 of Ordinance No. 4085 be and the same is hereby amended <br /> to read as follows: <br /> Section 38: Sprinkling - Rates - Restricted Methods. <br /> a. Metered services within the City limits shall be eligible and receive <br /> sprinkling rates where such service is provided to a single or multiple unit dwelling <br /> or apartment house which has a lawn normally requiring sprinkling during the summer <br /> months, provided that premises having a permanent type swimming pool or other <br /> installation normally capable of utilizing an excessive amount of water shall not be <br /> eligible for sprinkling rates. <br /> b. Services outside the City limits shall be eligible and receive <br /> sprinkling rates where such service is provided through an individual meter to single <br /> or multiple unit dwellings located on a premises containing less than three-fourths <br /> (3/4) acres in total area. Such premises shall have a lawn normally requiring <br /> sprinkling during the summer months, but to be eligible for sprinkling rates, premises <br /> shall not have a permanent type swimming pool or other installation normally capable <br /> of utilizing an excessive amount of water. <br /> c. The Water Department shall determine those services which shall <br /> be eligible for sprinkling rates. <br />
