• <br /> ($3. 00). <br /> Section 38: Sprinkling - Restricted Methods. <br /> a. Water for sprinkling purposes on premises served by a fixed rate <br /> service shall be used only through a nozzle, set or automatic sprinkler, <br /> soaker or other sprinkling device, but shall not be permitted to flow freely <br /> from the faucet or open hose. <br /> b. The use of water for sprinkling purposes shall be confined to the <br /> limits of the premises for which the application for service was issued and <br /> water shall not be wasted by allowing it to flow for excessive periods nor run <br /> onto streets and gutters. <br /> c. No sprinkling shall be done in a manner which will interfere with <br /> or inconvenience pedestrian or vehicular traffic. <br /> Section 39: Dormant Service - Not To Be Used For Sprinkling. Water <br /> shall not be turned on to any dormant service for sprinkling purposes when <br /> water for domestic purposes is supplied through a separate connection to the <br /> premises. <br /> Section 40: Meters - Standard and Size. All meters shall be of a <br /> standard size and design as approved by the Superintendent and each meter <br /> shall be separately examined, tested and approved before it is installed. The <br /> Superintendent shall determine the various sizes and types of meters which <br /> shall be used for metered service connections to the Water System. <br /> Section 41: Low Pressure - Meter Requirement May Be Waived. A <br /> meter shall be installed on all services larger than three-quarter inch (3/4"); <br /> except in locations where static pressure is less than twenty (20) pounds, a <br /> larger unmetered service may be installed upon approval of the Superintendent. <br /> Section 42: Meter Testing - Frequency and Charges. In the event <br /> of a meter getting out of order and failing to register, the consumer shall be <br /> charged at the average daily consumption as shown by the meter when in order. <br /> -18- <br />
