• <br /> same shall make application and payment in the regular manner and such <br /> additional connection(s) shall be considered to be solely for the benefit and <br /> convenience of the applicant. The premises shall thereafter be charged for <br /> water service through each service connection independently as though ser- <br /> vice were being provided to two or more premises,and the minimum charge <br /> and the charge for water consumed shall be computed separately for each <br /> metered service and then added to comprise the total charge for water service <br /> to the premises. <br /> Section 44: Separate Metered Connection - Sprinkling. In the event <br /> an owner should request a service connection for sprinkling or irrigation <br /> purposes only on a lot or area not occupied by a building or structure which <br /> would normally require a service connection, after proper application and <br /> payment as set forth elsewhere herein and after installation of piping for the <br /> sprinkler system by the owner, the Water Department shall install the metered <br /> service connection. Such connection so irs tailed shall be subject to not less <br /> than the minimum monthly charge throughout the period during which it <br /> remains installed regardless of the frequency of use thereof and shall not be <br /> subject to a regular shut off order for discontinuance of service. If the <br /> owner wishes to terminate service of and payment for this special type ser- <br /> vice connection, he shall request the removal of same, and if the owner <br /> subsequently desires the reinstallation of such special type service connection, <br /> he shall again make application and payment as for a new service of this type,. <br /> in the regular manner. <br /> Section 45: Unauthorized Meter Removal and Tampering. No meter <br /> shall be removed nor in any manner disturbed or the seal broken except by <br /> or in the presence of an authorized representative of the Water Department. <br /> Section 46: Access To Meters and Service Cocks To Be Unimpaired. <br /> Meter boxes and service cock covers shall be kept free from obstructions <br /> and available for meter reading, inspection, turn on or shut off at all times. <br /> All persons are prohibited from piling rubbish, building material, parking <br /> -20- <br />
