• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 4077 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING EVERETT CITY CODE, Sections 15.04.050, <br /> 15.04. 120 and 15.04.130 dealing with ZONING, LAND USED, CHANGING OF <br /> REQUIREMENTS OF NEIGHBORHOOD SHOPPING ZONES and COMMUNITY SHOPPING ZONES. <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Council of the City of Everett held <br /> public hearings on the 8th day of March, 1965, and made recommendations <br /> to the City Council proposing certain changes of the Zoning Ordinances, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Commissioners of the City of Everett approve <br /> said recommendations, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1 : That Everett City Code, Section 15.04.050 is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> 15.04.050 GENERAL PROVISIONS--LAND USE <br /> No building, structure or premises shall hereafter be used <br /> or occupied and no building or part thereof or structure <br /> shall be erected, raised, moved, reconstructed extended, <br /> enlarged, or altered, except in conformity with the regu- <br /> lations herein specified for the zone in which it is located. <br /> No lot, yard, off-street parking or loading area or other <br /> open space existing on or after the effective date of this <br /> Ordinance shall be reduced in area or dimension below the <br /> minimum required by this Ordinance. No lot or tract shall <br /> be subdivided for use as a building site for residential <br /> purposes unless all such subdivisions abut, for a minimum <br /> of 40 feet, on a public dedicated street or road. No exist- <br /> ing lot, yard, off-street parking or loading area less than <br /> the minimum required by this Ordinance shall be further <br /> reduced, nor shall any required open spaces be used as the <br /> required lot area, yard, off-street parking or loading area <br /> for another structure or building. <br /> Except as otherwise provided herein only one main resident- <br /> ial building shall be located on any lot, provided further <br /> that living and/or sleeping quarters, temporary or permanent, <br /> in any building other than the main residential building, <br /> is pro hibited including such uses as guest houses and guest <br /> rooms. <br /> Section 2: That the Everett City Code, Section 15.04.120 <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows : <br /> 15.04.120 B-1, NEIGHBORHOOD SHOPPING ZONE <br /> A. DECLARATION OF PURPOSE: <br /> The purpose and function of the B-1 Zone is to <br /> provide for and protect certain areas in the City <br /> for retail businesses and services serving primarily <br /> the residents of the surrounding neighborhood. <br /> B. PERMITTED USES: <br /> 1. R-2 Permitted Uses under R-2 standards. <br /> - 1 - <br />
