Existing footings remained where sufficient and posts where replaced as needed due to <br /> either unacceptable post type or excessive shimming. Floor girders were jacked as need and new cut-to-length posts were <br /> installed. New footings per the plan were installed at all locations where no existing footing was present, New footing and posts <br /> are consistent with the design intent and acceptable. <br /> Additionally,TEC verified the installation of(5)Smart Jacks along the existing beam line in the west extension of the house. The <br /> final condition of existing posts and Smart Jacks are acceptable and consistent with the design intent. <br /> As Engineer of Record,TEC was on site for the post repair installation and observed the final condition of the Smart Jack thus <br /> satisfying the need for Structural Observation. <br /> Our inspection and testing services do not constitute a warranty or guarantee of any type and were provided and intended to help <br /> reduce the risk of construction defects,deficiencies or omission that may arise during and after construction. It is the <br /> contractor's responsibility to perform their work in accordance with approved construction documents. All inspections and tests <br /> were performed and reported according to the requirements of the City of Everett and,to the best of my knowledge, fie work was <br /> in conformance with i ieappeble workmanship provisions of the Washington State Building Code and Standards. _.. <br /> Since5rely, .
