October 23, 2019 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., <br /> October 23, 2019, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic <br /> City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor <br /> Franklin and Council Members Murphy, Vogeli, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy <br /> were present. Council Members Roberts and Moore were excused. <br /> Council President Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 16, 2019, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Franklin read a proclamation designating October as Domestic Violence <br /> Awareness month. Mayor Franklin presented the proclamation to Mary Anne <br /> Dillon of the YWCA and Vicci Hilty of Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish <br /> County. Ms. Dillon and Ms. Hilty thanked the City for this. <br /> Mayor Franklin read into the record joint Resolution No. 7438 honoring the life of <br /> former City Council Member Carl Gipson. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Murphy, to <br /> concur with the following appointments: <br /> Diversity Board <br /> Reappointment of Giselle Zapata Garcia to Position 1, for a four-year term <br /> ending September 30, 2023 <br /> Reappointment of Kara Price to Position 4, for a four-year term ending <br /> September 30, 2023 <br /> Reappointment of Rukeyia Larron to Position 5,for a four-year term ending <br /> September 30, 2023 <br /> 312 <br />
