The project site is located south oE Seaway <br /> Boulevard and west of the exis[ing Phase L area, as shown on [he Site Plan, <br /> IPla[e 1. We understand that thc proposPd new Eacilities wi11 include [he <br /> Phase 2 building and parking nreas, a loop access road, a de[ention pond :ind <br /> I a modiEied spill.way for the existing ear[h dam. <br /> The Phase 2 building Will Ue a two-story structure of mixed precast cun- <br /> I crete and steel Frame construction. The lowest Eloor s1aU for this structure <br /> will be estaolished at �bout Hlevation 6L9 [eet. The service entry vill be <br /> I depressed for dock-high access. Grading oE the building pad will require up <br /> to l0 Eeet oE fill ano l5 feet of cut in the northern and southern sections <br /> of the building, respectively. 'Lhe struc[ure wi11 have 32-foot-square bays. <br /> I !fa:cimum incerior and exterior colmm� luads are expected to be approxiaiacely <br /> 180 and 140 kips, respectively. Continuuus wall Eootings are expecte� tu <br /> I carry up to about 2'� kips per Lineal foot. <br /> Pfost oT [he Phase 2 parking will be located immediately west oi the new <br /> � Uuilding. �\ small packing area will also be cons[ructed northeus[ oE che <br /> building. A loop ace?ss road is planned around the north, west and south <br /> I sides of the Phase 2 area. This road will follow ehe approximate alignment <br /> shown on Plate l. Varous amounts of cutting and filling wi11 be required to <br /> achieve the desired grades in these paved areas. Preliminary indications are <br /> I thac on the order oE 10 feet oE iill will be placed in [he northeast parking <br /> area and nlong some portions of [he western segment o[ the loop accese road. <br /> I L'p [o abuut l0 Eee[ of cut wi11 be required in the vicini[y of the suuth�cn <br /> edge of [he new building. The amount of cuCting and filling required eLse- <br /> � where will generally be Less than 5 feet. <br /> A new de[entiun pond is planned in thc drainage feature to [he west of <br /> the Phase 2 parking.
