Included as part of the State <br />Building Code, is the National Electric Code (the "NEC"). In the past the City has amended the NEC with a <br />provision for wiring in non -dwelling occupancies. This requirement is not necessary under the State <br />Building Code for public health, safety, and welfare. Therefore, it is appropriate to eliminate the <br />requirement. <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt An Ordinance Relating to the <br />National Electric Code, Amending Part 7, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3196-10 (EMC 16.05). <br />15 <br />
