( � <br /> c. Lanes without curbs shall be identified by red traffic paint with a 6-inch wide stripe on <br /> the pavement, extending the length of the designated fire lane. <br /> d. The words 'NO PARKING — FIRE LANE' shall be in 3-inch stroke white letters 18 <br /> inches in height, and placed 8 inches measured perpendicular from the red painl stripe on <br /> the pavement. In most cases, both sides of the access road shall be marked. Where long <br /> drives are to be marked, lhe repetitions shall altemate sides of the drive. <br /> e. Marking shall also include the addition of inetal signs stating 'NO PARKING — FIRE <br /> LANE—TOW AWAY ZONE' to be installed at intervals or locations designated by the Fire <br /> Code Ofticial. he signs shall be approximately 12 inches in width and 18 inches in height <br /> and have red letters on a white background. Premise Idenlification - Premises shall be clearly identifed by the correct address at the <br /> street entry. Buildings shall be cleariy identified so as to be visible and legible irom the <br /> access road. Individual apartments and suites, where applicable, shall be clearly and <br /> legibly identitied from ihe access road. <br /> 6. Fire Hvdrants - The Everett Municipal Code and the International Fire Code require ihat <br /> fire hydranis be provided within a maximum distance and of sufficient numbe�and spacing <br /> to all new construction. The distance and number of hydranls varies based on type of <br /> construction and occupancy of the siructure. <br /> 7. A fire hydrant is required within 200 driving feel, but not closer Ihan 50 feet, of every <br /> structure. Localion of the hydrant(s) shall be approved by the Fire Code Official. <br /> 8. PREMISE IDENTIFlCATION AND ALL REQUIRED FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS <br /> ROADS AND FIRE HYDRANTS SHALL BE IN SERVICE PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT <br /> OF CONSTRUCTION. <br /> 9. Fire flow(or ihis project is 2,375 gpm. <br /> 10. Portable Fire Protection - A portable fire extinguisher with a minimum U.L. rating of <br /> 2-A:10-B:C shail be provided within 75 feet of travel on all Floors of each buiiding duri�g <br /> construction and prior to occupancy. <br /> 11. Fire Alarm Svstem - An approved automatic fire detection system shall be provided as <br /> required by Cily Ordinance No. 3021-07, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett Municipal Code. <br /> C°��� �. <br />
