' ECC Athletic Facility TreHic Analysis
 C>cember 30,2008
Tr Rp, (ReuisedJune 12, 2009)
remain at 1,919 stalls with the addition of the Topper Lot and increased usage of available
parking in College Plaza lots.
Parking demand on-campus may increase slightly due to a small increase in the length of
stay cased by visils to tHe fitness center. However, this increase is expect¢d to be minor
and can be easily accommodated by the existing parking area on the east side of Broadway.
Furthertnore, the lot at the existing athletic facility was underutilized and additional closer
parking is being provided in the shopping center lot, so an rational deficit is not expected
lo occur. The ef(ect of basketball and volleyball games on parking demand is also expected
to be minor since games are typically scheduled for the late aftemoon and evening when
campus parking demand is low.
The City of Everetl assesses a haffic impact fee of$900 per new PM peak hour hip
generated by a new development. Since the fitness center will not generate new PM peak
hour hips,an impact fee payment is not required.
I trust this limited review of traffic and parking conditions associated with the proposed
fitness center meets the Ciry's requirements for addressing potential trac and parking
issues.
