January 8, 2014 <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson stated that following the Boeing machinist's vote, the <br /> hard work now starts to occur around three pieces of business; an <br /> advance material enclave that will be part of the new wing for the 777X, <br /> the assembly and manufacture of the wing itself, and the assembly of the <br /> 777X. He remarked that the expedited permitting process that the city <br /> went through mid-year, 2013, positions us to deliver on four weeks from <br /> application to construction start. He commended the Economic Alliance <br /> of Snohomish County for their research and work. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Anderson reported on his attendance at the 2014 <br /> Legislative Quorum on Mental Health and Chemical Dependency issues <br /> at Compass Health. <br /> Council President Moore thanked the Mayor and political leaders for their <br /> multi-faceted effort to secure the future of Boeing in our city. <br /> He also announced that the public is welcome to attend a 90th birthday <br /> celebration for Carl Gipson on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the <br /> Carl Gipson Senior Center. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session following the meeting <br /> concerning two litigation matters pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i). The <br /> session is expected to last 20 minutes with no announcement to follow. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Linda Browning, Everett, expressed concerns regarding the 90-minute <br /> parking zone in front of her business and the permitting process for small <br /> businesses. <br /> 2 <br />
