On November 15,2012,the City's Hearing Examiner held that code violations existed at 929 Pecks Drive.Violations included the accumulation of garbage,trash,household items,bicycles, automotive parts and salvage materials on the exterior of the property. The Examiner also imposed a penalty of$1500. The violations were not abated in accordance with the Order and with the owner's permission,the City abated the violations. The property has failed to pay the abatement costs. This Resolution authorizes placement of an assessment lien on the property on or after May 1, 2013,in the amount of the outstanding costs of abatement and the penalties imposed by the Examiner,which total$4,510.44. RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): Adopt a Resolution authorizing recovery of abatement costs pursuant to EMC 1.20.090 at 929 Pecks Drive. 21
