On November 15,2012,the City's Hearing Examiner held that code violations existed at <br /> 929 Pecks Drive.Violations included the accumulation of garbage,trash,household items,bicycles, <br /> automotive parts and salvage materials on the exterior of the property. The Examiner also imposed a penalty <br /> of$1500. The violations were not abated in accordance with the Order and with the owner's permission,the <br /> City abated the violations. The property has failed to pay the abatement costs. This Resolution authorizes <br /> placement of an assessment lien on the property on or after May 1, 2013,in the amount of the outstanding <br /> costs of abatement and the penalties imposed by the Examiner,which total$4,510.44. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt a Resolution authorizing recovery of abatement costs pursuant to EMC 1.20.090 at 929 Pecks Drive. <br /> 21 <br />
