Exhibit A
Continued
Assumptions
• The dike repairs under 1-5 are assumed to be bid separately from the repairs downstream of 1-5,
and therefore a separate set of contract documents will be prepared for the repairs under 1-5.
8.4 Engineer's Estimate for Repair Under 1-5 (90% and 100%)
Otak will prepare the cost estimate to indicate quantity estimates and unit construction cost data to
reflect the 90% level design. Quantities will be organized into standard bid items (supplemented by
additional non-standard items, if necessary) conforming to the project bid schedule. Otak will estimate
quantities and develop an itemized construction cost estimate using unit costs based on experience
and recent similar project bid tabs. The construction cost estimate will include appropriate
contingencies to reflect the level of design complete.
Deliverables
• 90% Engineer's Estimate, electronic file (PDF file format).
• 100% Engineer's Estimate, electronic file (PDF file format).
8.5 Supplemental Geotechnical Design for Repair Under 1-5 (Cornforth
Consultants)
The scope for this task is described in Attachment A.
Task 9 - Dike Repair East of 1-5 Final Design
9.1 Supplemental Survey for Upstream Dike
Additional survey will be collected to support design of the repairs for the dike reach east of 1-5 to the
County's setback dike. The areas identified for survey are those areas where repairs were identified
from the existing dike evaluation in Phase 1, and where the available LiDAR data is considered to not
adequate to represent the topography.
This survey will utilize GPS real-time kinematic (RTK) equipment, and/or conventional total station
instruments. This field survey data will be incorporated into the project base map sufficient for
construction documents.
Deliverables
• Site survey base map stamped by Professional Land Surveyor, registered in the State of
Washington.
• The base map will show 2-foot contour intervals with elevations referenced to the North American
Vertical Datum 1988 (NAVD88).
• The map will be referenced to the Washington State Plane Coordinate System.
• AutoCAD/CIV3D base map drawing (*.dwg)file of project survey with topographic (digital terrain
model— DTM) surface of surveyed area.
Assumptions
• Access and rights-of-entry will be provided by the City and DD5.
• Supplemental Survey will be limited to the areas identified for repair, and where LiDAR data is
determined to be inadequate based on the existing dike evaluation in Phase 1.
DD5 Dike Repairs and Improvements Project 5
ota k
1G\project\32700\32758\Contract\Proposal 19_0317\,Scope for Phare 2-DD5 dike repairs Under 1-5 and Fast of 1-5_19_1014.docx
