Assumptions • Final design for the repair under 1-5 will consist of excavation of part of the landside of the dike, and replacing and extending the amount of dike fill on the land side to develop an adequate seepage barrier. The access road under the 1-5 will be maintained as wide as feasible, assuming that a 15' minimum width is required for access. • Design of a floodwall, or design for complete replacement of the dike under 1-5 is not included in this scope. • The design criteria for top elevation of the dike under 1-5 will be as high as practical given the space constraints from the elevation of the Interstate-5 bridge girders. The bottom elevation of the bridge girders generally ranges from 15.1' to 16.0' NAVD88, and therefore the top elevation of adequately compacted dike fill will be limited. 8.3 Technical Specifications for Repair Under 1-5 (90% and 100%) Otak will prepare technical special provisions, bid schedule, and assemble the project construction manual based on City standard "double-sided printing"format, Project Manual will include sections for contract and general/special provisions, bid proposal, contract, and applicable appendices. It is assumed that the City will provide the front-end contract(Division 0)for Otak to assemble the Project Manual. Specifications will be based on the City's standards and CSI standard specifications. Otak will revise the previously prepared Project Manual based on 90% review comments and prepare the 100% design specifications manual. Deliverables • 90% Project Construction Manual, electronic file (PDF file format). • Project Construction Manual at 100-percent design, sealed by a Washington state registered PE, three (3) hard copies, and electronic file (PDF file format).
