State of Washington Department of Ecology Page 9 of 21 <br /> Agreement No: SWMLSWFA-2019-EverPW-00090 <br /> Project Title: 2019-21 LSWFA City of Everett Public Works IMP <br /> Recipient Name: CITY OF EVERETT-PUBLIC WORKS DEPT. <br /> Activity: Supporting the Plastic Bag Ban <br /> The City of Everett has developed and adopted a reusable bag ordinance with a goal of decreasing plastic pollution and the <br /> quantity of plastic bags in recycling bins. The RECIPIENT will administer the outreach for this new ordinance,providing <br /> printed and electrorfic materials to inform the public on choices and tips for compliance. <br /> Task Goal Statement: <br /> To increase waste reduction and recycling to benefit the City and the environment within multi-family properties, in public <br /> spaces,and at events for the public. <br /> Task Expected Outcome: <br /> The RECIPIENT expects to assist up to 50 multi-family properties,expecting 10 to run new WR&R programs,and to see an <br /> increase in ClearStream container use,event container check-outs,and numbers of reusable shopping bags in use in the City. <br /> The total outcome from these activities is expected to result in an additional 65 tons of recycled material diverted from the <br /> landfill. <br /> Reimbursement for one staffer will be needed for Task activities and is LSWFA-eligible,as are costs of Task-appropriate <br /> training, such as that provided at the WA State Recycling Association's annual conferences.Membership in the WA State <br /> Recycling Association professional organization is also eligible,as no indirect costs will be charged. Other memberships will <br /> need pre-approval by ECOLOGY to be directly billed to this Agreement. <br /> Meeting ECOLOGY's new Recycling Verification requirement will help ECOLOGY refine its focus to ensure recycling <br /> practices are safe,just,and lawful. Recycling Verification Form(s)to complete and upload into EAGL are now available from <br /> LSWFA. ECOLOGY also asks the RECIPIENT to upload verification form(s)voluntarily for all others in the chain-of-custody <br /> that handle these materials,where possible.
