16 <br /> Contract#FY14-61014-004 <br /> 6. DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:The DEPARTMENT shall <br /> provide the GRANTEE with the information to gain access to the <br /> STATEWIDE HISTORIC PROPERTY INVENTORY ONLINE <br /> SYSTEM. <br /> B. PUBLIC EDUCATION ACTIVITIES—PART A <br /> L The GRANTEE shall research,design, and conduct at least one public <br /> presentation during the grant period subject to the following conditions: <br /> a) The purpose of the presentation(s) shall be to present findings of <br /> the survey and inventory project and respond to any questions <br /> raised by the public: It should also give property owners <br /> information and resources on listing properties on the local <br /> register. <br /> b) The GRANTEE shall notify the DEPARTMENT of the <br /> presentation date and shall be afforded an opportunity to attend, <br /> c) Summarize the public presentation(s)including but not limited to: <br /> number of participants,comments,and notable conclusions arising <br /> from the presentation. Include the summary in the completion • <br /> report. <br /> C. PUBLIC EDUCATION ACTIVITIES—PART B <br /> 1. The GRANTEE shall contract with a consulting company to create a day-long <br /> workshop on mid-century resources and how to survey them effectively. <br /> Workshop will include styles prevalent in Washington state(can be handled <br /> by Michael Houser, State Architectural Historian), strategies for inventory, <br /> challenges facing preservation of mid-century resources, and other related <br /> topics. The workshop should include two to three nationally recognized <br /> speakers in addition to Mr.Houser.Workshops will be held in Everett and <br /> Spokane in 2014. Spokane Preservation Officer will coordinate efforts for <br /> Spokane presentation including location,snacks and other logistics. State <br /> DAHP will coordinate registration activities for both workshops. <br /> D. REPORTING ACTIVITIES <br /> I, GRANT ADMINISTRATION: The GRANTEE shall establish and <br /> maintain contact with the DEPARTMENT throughout the grant period as <br /> to the status of all grant activities by preparing and submitting the <br /> following reports to the DEPARTMENT at the times indicated: <br /> Page 5 <br /> 111 <br />
