Upon roll call it was found that
Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Moore, Gipson, Bader,
Stonecipher and Anderson were present. Council Members Roberts and
Murphy were excused.
Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes of the January 22, 2014 City Council meeting were approved
as printed. Council Members Gipson and Stonecipher abstained from the
vote.
MAYOR
Mayor Stephanson had no comments.
COUNCIL
Council Member Gipson questioned the balance in CIP4 and the potential
commitments the city has for those funds. CAA/CFO Bryant stated that
she would provide that information.
Council Member Gipson expressed concern regarding an issue with
Everett Transit's Bus Route 7. He stated that a woman with a stroller was
denied access to the bus because it was too full. He remarked that
smaller buses are used on that route during the busiest times and
questioned why larger buses aren't being used. CAA/CFO Bryant stated
that she would look into the matter.
CITY ATTORNEY
City Attorney Iles requested an executive session following the meeting
concerning two litigation matters pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i)(a)(c).
The session is anticipated to last 20 minutes with an action to follow.
16
