January 29, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., January 29, 2014 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, Council President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Moore, Gipson, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher and Anderson were present. Council Members Roberts and <br /> Murphy were excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 22, 2014 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. Council Members Gipson and Stonecipher abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no comments. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson questioned the balance in CIP4 and the potential <br /> commitments the city has for those funds. CAA/CFO Bryant stated that <br /> she would provide that information. <br /> Council Member Gipson expressed concern regarding an issue with <br /> Everett Transit's Bus Route 7. He stated that a woman with a stroller was <br /> denied access to the bus because it was too full. He remarked that <br /> smaller buses are used on that route during the busiest times and <br /> questioned why larger buses aren't being used. CAA/CFO Bryant stated <br /> that she would look into the matter. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session following the meeting <br /> concerning two litigation matters pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i)(a)(c). <br /> The session is anticipated to last 20 minutes with an action to follow. <br /> 16 <br />
