PHASE 02 MADISON STREET AT EVERGREEN WAY FLOOD REDUCTION AND PROTECTION ANALYSIS AND DESIGN Task 1 Background and Incident History Objective: Determine history of flooding, the area's contribution to runoff, and possible cause including rainfall and runoff. Activities: The following activities are associated with this task: • Prepare tech memo on contribution area, flooding incident reports, maintenance records, staff interviews and service request records, field observations and other information that defines the flooding event(s)and possible causes. Deliverables: The following deliverables will be prepared: • Tech Memo and associated support information summarizing historical flooding events Assumptions: The following assumptions apply to this task: • No aerial mapping or surveying is needed. Task 2 Analysis of Ways to Reduce Flooding Incidents and Protect Impacted Properties Objective: Verify recommendations on corrective actions for reducing flooding incidents that impact properties as set forth in the summary sheet PC1-1. Activities: The following activities are associated with this task: • Review volume and velocity to compare against system capacity and constraints including open channel conveyance system and structures in the basin using an applicable computer model. Deliverables: The following deliverables will be prepared: • A recommendation on corrective actionincluding scope and costs as well as impacts on private property in a project summary sheet format.
