McDonald's Corporation E-3G76 <br /> December 21, 1987 Page 2 <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> At the time our study was performed, the site and proposed building <br /> loczt_�n� werE as shown schematically oti the Boriny Location Plan, <br /> Plate 2. <br /> Based on our discussionc with you, we understand that it is planned <br /> to construct a 37/91/87 series store, which is a single-story, <br /> thirty-seve� (37) by ninety-one (91) foot restaurant. Roof truss <br /> loads will be carried by perimeter walls. Anticipated loads will be <br /> about three thousand (3000) pounds per lineal foot (plf) . Slab <br /> loads will be about one hundred fifty (150) pounds per square foot <br /> (psf) . Cuts will be on the order of ten (l0) to twelve (12) feet. <br /> Adjacent praperties will also include cuts of similar heights to <br /> provide a nearly level area for �uture development of the entire <br /> block. <br /> If any of the above desiqn criteria change, we should be consulted <br /> to review the recommendations contained in this report. In any <br /> case, it is recommended that Earth Consultants, Znc. (ECI) provide a <br /> general review of the final desiqn. <br /> SITE :�NDITIONS <br /> Surface <br /> As shown on the attached Vicinity Map, Plate 1, the site is located <br /> on the northeast corner of the intersection of Colby Avenue and 41st <br /> Street Southeast, in Everett, Washington. The long dimension of the <br /> property is along Colby Avenue. The surfaca of the property is five <br /> (5) to eleven (1] ) feet above the street intersection and grades <br /> down about six (6) feet to the north. Five single-family residences <br /> with basemer�ts exist on the site. A sani;.ary sewer was installed <br /> within the past year in the alley behind the residences. <br /> The existing cut slopes along Colby Avenue ar�a supported by retain- <br /> ing walls. The slope along 41st Street Southeast is supported by a <br /> wall made of broken concrete. A portion of this wall exhibits signs <br /> of movement. <br /> Vegetation consist of evergreen and dec:iduous trees. A few shrubs <br /> are located around the houses. <br /> Subsurface <br /> The site was explored by drilling five test borings at the locations <br /> shown on Plate 2.
