<br /> extensions if necessary; installing temporary concrete thrust blocks; restraint systems;
<br /> painting; flushing and disinfecting; furnishing, installing, compacting, and testing bedding and
<br /> backfill materials; constructing asphalt concrete pad around valve box if necessary; cleanup;
<br /> and any additional work, materials, and equipment required to install the valves and
<br /> assembly, except as included in other unit price bids.
<br /> Bid Item 20 - Fire Hydrant
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit price per each shall be full compensation for all work to furnish and install fire hydrant
<br /> in accordance with Parts A, B, C, E, F, G, H, I, and J noted in COE Standard Drawing No.
<br /> 507. Work includes, and not limited to, all costs for clearing and grubbing; excavation,
<br /> removal, haul and disposal of excavated materials; furnishing, installing, testing, and
<br /> disinfecting new fire hydrant; shoring; dewatering; furnishing, installing and compacting
<br /> bedding and backfill materials; and plastic film wrap required for the complete installation of
<br /> the hydrant as specified. I
<br /> Bid Item 21 - Salvage Existing Fire Hydrant
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)

<br /> The unit contract price for Salvage Existing Fire Hydrant shall constitute full compensation
<br /> for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for salvaging the existing hydrant, and
<br /> delivering it to the City Storage Yard on Railroad Avenue and for removing auxiliary gate

<br /> valve box after COE Water Department personnel closes gate valve, and cutting, capping
<br /> existing hydrant lead pipe, providing and compacting backfill in-place..
<br /> Bid Item 22 - Relocate Existing Fire Hydrant I
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price for Relocate Existing Fire Hydrant shall constitute full compensation
<br /> for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for carefully salvaging the existing
<br /> hydrant and installing it in new location noted in the Plans and for removing auxiliary gate
<br /> valve box after COE Water Department personnel closes gate valve, and cutting, capping
<br /> existing hydrant lead pipe, providing and compacting backfill in-place.
<br /> Bid Item 23 - Remove Existing Fire Hydrant
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA) I
<br /> The unit contract price for Remove Existing Fire Hydrant shall constitute full compensation
<br /> for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for removing and disposing of the
<br /> existing hydrant and for removing auxiliary gate valve box after COE Water Department I
<br /> personnel closes gate valve, and cutting, capping existing hydrant lead pipe, providing and
<br /> compacting backfill in-place.
<br /> Bid Item 24 - Air Vacuum Valve Assembly, 1-Inch I

<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA) I
<br /> The unit contract price for Air Vacuum Valve Assembly, =Inch shall constitute full
<br /> compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for providing assembly
<br /> in accordance with COE Std Drawing No. 512 or as modified and supplemented herein, in
<br /> the location shown on the Plans, including but not limited to, all gaskets, bolts, pipe, nipples,
<br /> adapters, couplings, fittings, restraint systems, vertical bends, all other necessary
<br /> appurtenances, temporary thrust blocking, trench excavation, sheeting and shoring and
