<br /> The unit contract price for Water Service Connection, Type _, shall constitute full
<br /> compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to connect new service
<br /> lines and reconnecting with the existing service line in accordance with Detail 1 (Type A), 2
<br /> (Type B), or 3 (Type C), Drawing D1. Work includes, and not limited to, excavation, backfill
<br /> and compaction; street pavement, concrete curb, concrete curb and gutter, concrete I
<br /> driveway and concrete sidewalk removal; clearing and grubbing; testing; lawn restoration
<br /> including seeding or sodding; dewatering; and removal or abandonment of existing service
<br /> connection. ,
<br /> Bid Item 33 - New Water Meter Box
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price for New Water Meter Box shall constitute full compensation for all
<br /> labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to install new meter box at location shown
<br /> on the Plans. Work includes, and not limited to, remove and dispose of existing box,
<br /> excavation, backfill and compaction; clearing and grubbing; testing; sawdust fill to prevent
<br /> freezing, and restoration of removal area to match adjacent ground.
<br /> Bid Item 34 - Relocate Existing Water Meter, Setter and Box I
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Each (EA)
<br /> The unit contract price for Existing Water Meter, Setter and Box shall constitute full
<br /> compensation for all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to carefully salvage and
<br /> move to new location shown on the Plans. Work includes, and not limited to, excavation,
<br /> backfill and compaction; clearing and grubbing; testing; sawdust fill to prevent freezing, and
<br /> restoration of removal area to match adjacent ground.
<br /> Bid Item 35 - Topsoil, Type A and Seeding
<br /> Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard (SY) I
<br /> Measurement for providing 4-inch thick Topsoil, Type A shall be limited to dimensions and
<br /> work limits defined in the work descriptions for other bid items, shown on the Plans, details
<br /> or COE Standard Drawings or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. I
<br /> The unit price per square yard for Topsoil, Type A & Seeding shall be full compensation for
<br /> all labor, compaction, material, tools, and equipment necessary to provide compacted 4
<br /> inches thick imported Topsoil, Type A for the Work as required, from a Contractor-supplied I
<br /> source in accordance with the Standard Specifications and these Special Provisions.
<br /> The unit price for Topsoil, Type A&Seeding includes all costs for hauling, stockpiling, placing,
<br /> grading, compacting, seeding, and controlling moisture content. I
<br /> Also to be included in this bid item shall be the cost of all subgrade preparation and grader
<br /> work, or any other equipment required to establish correct surfaces to proper grade before
<br /> the topsoil is placed, as well as all equipment required to spread and compact the topsoil I
<br /> uniformly on the surface to be seeded. Also included shall be the costs for removing, loading,
<br /> hauling, and disposing of unsuitable or displaced materials.
