I <br /> CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> After Award of the Contract, the Contractor will receive up to six sets of the reduced <br /> Plans (11" x 17") and accompanying Special Provisions. In addition, the Owner will <br /> supply up to three sets of full size plans (22" x 34"). All Plans and Special Provisions <br /> will be conformed with addenda unless Contractor requests otherwise. <br /> Additional Plans and Special Provisions may be purchased by payment of the current <br /> printing costs. <br /> 1-02.4 Examination of Plans, Specifications, and Site of Work <br /> 1-02.4(1) General <br /> Delete the fifth paragraph of 1-02.4(1), beginning with "Bid prices shall reflect", and <br /> substitute the following: <br /> Bid prices shall include everything necessary for the completion of the Work <br /> including, but not limited to, providing the materials, equipment, tools, plant and <br /> other facilities, and the management, superintendence, labor, and all necessary <br /> testing services. <br /> Revise the first sentence in the last paragraph to read as follows: I <br /> Any prospective Bidder desiring an explanation or interpretation of the Bid <br /> Documents, shall request the explanation or interpretation in writing by close of <br /> business three business days preceding the bid opening to allow a written reply to <br /> reach all prospective Bidders before the submission of their Bids. <br /> Supplement 1-02.4(1) by adding the following: <br /> Bidder acknowledges that he/she has not relied on representation or warranty of <br /> the City not expressly included in the Contract Documents. <br /> The information provided by the City is not intended to be a substitute for, or a <br /> supplement to, the independent verification by the Bidder to the extent such <br /> independent investigation of the Drawings and Specifications or Site conditions is <br /> deemed necessary or desirable by the Bidder. Bidder acknowledges that they have <br /> not relied upon City or Engineer furnished information regarding site conditions in <br /> preparing and submitting a Bid. <br /> 1-02.4(1)A Interpretation of Contract Documents <br /> (******) <br /> Should a Bidder find what is believed to be discrepancies in or omissions from the <br /> Plans, Specifications, or Special Provisions, or should the Bidder be in doubt as to <br /> their meaning, Bidder may submit to the Engineer a written request for an111 <br /> interpretation thereof. The Bidder submitting the request will be responsible for its <br /> prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the documents, if made, will be made only by <br /> addendum duly issued and a copy of such addendum will be mailed or delivered to <br /> each Bidder receiving a set of such documents. All requests for interpretations <br /> must be received by the City or Engineer no later than 7 calendar days prior <br /> to the Proposal opening date. All questions regarding the Contract Documents <br /> shall be referred to the City or Engineer at the address provided in the Contract <br /> Documents. <br /> 1-02.4(1)B Prevailing Wages <br /> (******) <br /> Bidder is directed to 1-07.9(1) of these Special Provisions for requirements <br /> regarding applying payment of prevailing wage rates for employment of labor on <br /> within Snohomish County. <br /> 1-02.4(2) Subsurface Information <br /> Delete the first paragraph and substitute the following: t <br /> Watermain Replacement"U" Division 1 —GENERAL REQUIREMENTS October 1, 2019 <br /> WO No—UP3698 SP—46 I <br />
