ARTICLE 14 - CLOTHING ALLOWANCE <br /> 14.1 General. <br /> 14.1.1 The Police Department will initially purchase and thereafter replace the following items <br /> of clothing: <br /> Class B working uniforms required under regulations. Replacement(s) will be <br /> made at the request of the Officer to the City, by means of requisition to the <br /> property officer. Items that may be furnished includes helmets, hard equipment <br /> and any specialized police equipment or clothing as required by the Chief of <br /> Police. <br /> When required, Class A dress uniforms will be furnished by the City. <br /> 14.1.2 Plainclothes officers will be reimbursed up to $680.00 per calendar year for purchases of <br /> clothing and/or equipment necessary for the performance of the position. Reimbursement <br /> will be made only upon presentation of a receipt showing actual purchase of wearing <br /> apparel or equipment. Examples of equipment include: a flashlight, handcuff case or <br /> plainclothes holster. Final approval of equipment will be determined by the Chief of <br /> Police. <br /> 14.1.3 The City will provide contract cleaning with a local dry cleaning facility, and provide <br /> uniform cleaning for Association members. Chief of Police may set policy as to establish <br /> what is considered reasonable use. <br /> 14.1.4 Association members will be reimbursed up to $250.00 per calendar year for purchases of <br /> uniform shoes and or duty equipment. Reimbursement will be made only upon <br /> presentation of a receipt showing actual purchase of uniform shoes. <br /> 19 <br />
