GC/CM Contract <br /> General Contractor/Construction Manager Services for 2 <br /> ; Water Pollution Control Facility Expansion <br /> Phase Cl (Liquid Stream) <br /> including but not limited to: a) coordination of all Work; b) review and <br /> inspection of Work of Subcontractors; c) quality control/quality assurance; d) <br /> all scheduling related activities required by the Contract Documents; e) <br /> identifying and implementing safe work practices and requirements for <br /> construction; f) assessing and recommending site logistics requirements; g) <br /> recommending phasing, sequencing of work and construction scheduling; h) <br /> providing cost-estimating as needed to support changes to the Work; i) <br /> assessing alternative construction options for cost savings; j) identifying <br /> products and designs for Value Engineering (VE) and engineering systems <br /> for life-cycle cost considerations and recommending all work necessary to <br /> support their implementation. These services were included as part of the <br /> Preconstruction Services Contract and shall continue during construction as <br /> part of the Fixed Amount for Specified General Conditions. In addition, the <br /> GC/CM shall work with local labor and subcontracting markets to generate <br /> viable and competitive pricing through effective packaging of subcontract bid <br /> opportunities and reaching out to subcontractors encouraging them to bid. <br /> The GC/CM shall provide full general contracting services for construction of <br /> the Project in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents <br /> and Chapter 39.10 RCW, except to the extent work is specifically indicated in <br /> the Contract Documents to be the responsibility of others. <br /> 3.1.1. CPARB Reporting: Provide the Owner any project information required <br /> to be submitted by the GC/CM in accordance with the provisions of <br /> Chapter 39.10 RCW and the requirements of the Capital Projects <br /> Advisory Review Board (CPARB). <br /> 3.2. Work during Preconstruction. Prior to execution of this Contract the Parties <br /> entered into a Preconstruction Services Contract. This GC/CM Contract shall <br /> not include those activities included in the Preconstruction Services Contract, <br /> except as identified in Section 3.1 above. Any compensation paid under the <br /> Preconstruction Services Contract shall be paid in accordance with that <br /> Contract. <br /> 3.3. Work during Construction. <br /> 3.3.1.
